I have always had a heart to help others become the best that they can be. For the last 2 1/2 years, I have been taking in troubled teens into my home and being directly involved in coaching them to turn their lives around. I was rigorously trained with hands on experience in the Parenting Workshop Institute, and now am not only a life coach to youth, but to their parents as well. I enjoy the challenge of teaching music to children and adults of all experience levels. As a teacher, I find that I constantly have to adapt my teaching style to accommodate different student’s needs. Musically, I encourage the student to go in whatever direction they like, but fundamentally I have strict guidelines that I motivate all my students to meet. For example, I support a student’s decision to learn to improvise a blues song, or play a melody from a symphony equally. I am well versed in all styles of music and feel I can provide them the necessary materials to explore and develop their preferred genre. My teaching experience began at a Riverside County Probation Facility for Wards of the court in Banning California. I began there as a Building Maintainance Mechanic and worked my way up to a vocational education teacher. After that I worked at St. Johns School for boys in Cabazon California. While I lived in California I also worked at a Christian High School called Joshua Springs High School where I began teaching a free small wood Shop class and worked my way up to a regular teacher.
