With every student I’ve worked with I’ve found that the key to truly appreciating the creative joys of art (whether it be writing, drama, film or painting) is to make clear the inexorable link between the basics of reading and writing and creative freedom. During my time at the University of Maine, I completed many courses in both Studio Art and the History of Art.
