I am a recent graduate of Fordham University, where I majored in Film Studies and minored in Visual Arts. During my time there I honed my skills in painting, graphic design, filmmaking and writing (both creative and academic). Recently I worked with the Tribeca Film Institute on the Tribeca Teaches program, coordinating the in class production of seven short documentaries made by middle and high school students in the South Bronx and Brooklyn that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Last summer, I worked at the West Side Y in New York City as the program coordinator for Summer Arts Camp, where I worked with children from the ages of 6 to 13 in writing producing and performing a musical based on “Where the Wild Things Are.”

A Little Bit About Me...

I understand the importance of getting to know students on an individual basis, as everyone will learn in a different way. With art specifically, I believe it's important to be helpful and supportive while encouraging new ideas and new techniques. In teaching art, I believe one should work hands-on with the student and the chosen materials, but still introduce theories and ideas about the choices being made to give further meaning to the work. The best art instruction comes from those who are open-minded and allow creativity to blossom while advancing technique. These philosophies are what I strive for in my instruction.

AAS in Business Management and Certificate Level 1 in Business Administrative. Additionally, I have been trained on Oracle-PeopleSoft v.8.9 in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Purchasing, Order Manament (Sales Orders) and took Accounting 1, have skill sets in Peachtree, MS Excel, and Skill Port via Robert Half Technology within the last five years.
