A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from one of the top ranked schools in the nation for education, Miami University (Ohio). I earned my bachelor's degree there. I have been teaching children that have learning disabilities for ten years. I also have worked with children that have severe emotional problems. I will be graduating from Grand Canyon University in December with my master's degree in special education. For the past few years I have been tutoring an eighth grader in grammar and poetry.
I love helping children learn new things. I get so excited when I see the "light bulb" go off. I love to find different ways to teach children to learn old things. I am a very patient and happy person by nature. Consistency is what works with children. I am very consistent and like to see children succeed. Educators can change the world through one child at a time.

I am Stephen O Ojo, a Zoology graduate with 1st class hons from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. I graduated with a CGPA of 4.52/5.00. I had been a tutor in various respect for many years with so many of my stdents working in various spheres of life. I started as a Science teacher in JT Tutorial centre in Lagos, Nigeria in the year 1999 and worked for the centre till 2005 when I graduated from the college. Having obtained a Communications degree from college, I was quite driven to help students who faced challenges in the areas of reading/writing. Further, I had extensive experience in Title I and Reading Labs, even on the college campus where I studied. Later, I earned my Master's degree and did research to assist me in understanding the pervasive issue of a higher incidence of language difficulties faced by these students versus that realized in Math. During the past years, I have taught high school and college English courses to students who have been identified as needing assistance in Reading and writing.
