I have usually insisted in helping people who have struggled in English and Math. I would do my best to explain the material until the student would have a solid understanding of the material. I have helped so many international students in English. As for math, I would insist on helping friends and anyone who is wishing to need help. For math, I would explain the mechanics and techniques of how to get the answer.
