Experience Summary
I have worked in art and graphic design professionally for the past 6 years, however I have been freelancing and creating art for myself since 1998. I previously worked for the Hayward Area Historical Society, which included assisting in design for exhibits as well as some teaching to visiting school groups. I have also been asked to teach small groups of children about art, or help with general homework on numerous occasions.
Teaching Style
I work best one-on-one or in small groups, I can adjust my style to what a person needs after speaking with them for a while and understanding how they learn. I've found the best way to teach someone a new way of looking at something is to understand how they currently perceive it.
My Hobbies
I love to create, I'm very lucky because the tools for creation rarely hinder me. If I have the idea, I can make the tools fit my purpose, i.e. if I have a flyer design, I can draw it, paint it, write and code it for a website, carve it, sculpt it, etc. My style tends to be the same across my mediums, although I can work in more than one style. Aside from art, I love puzzles and games, anything designed to stretch the brain is fun to me.
