I have always tutored friends and peers in mathematics. I spent the last year helping one of my good friends learn calculus and have volunteered as a tutor at Falmouth High School in Falmouth, Maine in order to help students learn algebra. I think it is important to understand that everyone can learn, however it is just a matter of how long it takes. Kids learn at different paces. They may need to be shown a different way to learn.
