I am an extremely patient person. My teaching style stems from that. I encourage those I tutor to set goals for what they want to learn or accomplish and then assist them in working towards those goals. I am a culinary school graduate and a full-time chef. I think patience and coaching are the most important tools in tutoring. Based on my experience, a rule or lesson is better retained if the student is vested in the answer by their own efforts.
