Experience Summary
During my graduate year at San Diego State University in the School of Education I worked at one junior high school teaching U.S.History and one high school teaching an English class. The next year I subbed for the public schools in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I also taught Ecology and Conservation for the Camping and Education Foundation from 1971-1974, in International Falls, Minnesota. I was also a ski instructor in Innsbruck, Austria. Since then I have taught sales and marketing skills for small groups of professional adults. I enjoy teaching at all levels and seem to have a rare rapport with students of all ages.
Teaching Style
Teaching is a unique experience that I enjoy thoroughly. I excel at one on one and small group teaching/tutoring, but am equally comfortable in front of 20 or 30 students as well. My patience and love of children is off the charts. I bring a lot of life experience and world travel to the table, so I can easily create an important bond with most students. My strength is inspiring students to learn not only with me but in all of life and to pursue their best in life. My life experience has been so rich, multi-cultural, international that I can easily come up with inspirational materials that will "light the fire within" any student.
