Experience Summary
I am waiting to receive my BS diploma, after completing a course of study in Digital Media, which also included tutoring students, note taking for special needs students, and student advocate programs developed to promote student enrollment in local universities. Writing technical thesis', tutorials for sales instruction, and advertising scripts comprise a portion of my experience. I have been a project manager for a remote, digital educational program developed for Utah Valley University. My background consists of corporate management, employee training, substitute teaching on all grade levels, law enforcement, teaching musical instruments, sales, script writing, and currently, literary agent for a new author.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching students of all ages, with varying learning skills. I believe education is best provided in an environment that challenges the student, and encourages growth. My ability to assist students in retention, is accomplished by helping him/her to understand underlying principles, often through examples, discovery, and comparisons. Academic progress can be gained by genuinely connecting with students. It is my goal to allow students to expand their intellectual horizons, within prescribed educational parameters, in a way that helps them reduce their personal learning curve, and advance their confidence in the subject matter. Education can be very exciting and rewarding, given the right approach.
