What strikes me most as I look back at my education is how much of an impact a teacher can have when they make their subject relevant to their students. I believe that instilling the confidence to learn is the key to effective instruction. Students need confidence not only in their instructor’s mastery of the subject matter, but also in their own ability to gain their own such master.
