I seem to have a rapport with children and can easily communicate and garner their trust. My teaching style depends on the student and how they receive and process information. Initially I prefer to create a dialogue whereby I am able to gain an understanding with the child about how they are motivated and what has been an effective way to facilitate their learning. Since I am relatively new to the teaching experience I would rely on perceptions of previous involvement as well as my own. I believe that a solid elementary education lays the groundwork for success in a child's educational future as well as affecting their ongoing life skills in a positive way. As the child of a school system administrative professional, I have always spent extra time in the school environment. As a high school freshman I began to tutor elementary school students based on the needs highlighted by their teachers.
