As of May 22, 2009 I became a graduate of California State University, Northridge with a BA degree in Chemistry. As an undergraduate student I performed atmospheric research with Dr. Daniel Curtis along with my duties as a full-time student. This involves a lot of questions and guiding the student to the correct answer. When students discover the answer on their own it is much more rewarding and long lasting for them. I firmly believe in fostering critical thinking and building students' logical reasoning skills. I strongly believe that all mathematical and statistical concepts can be explained and illustrated by the appropriate example. If a student understands how a certain statistical problem looks like in a small example, he or she will be able to describe the problem and the solution in an abstract formulation as well. I put a lot of effort in finding easy examples and then proceed in as little steps as necessary to the more abstract formulation. Also, I make sure to take the student with me on every of these steps. If tutor and student find the right pace, math and statistics can become a fascinating journey.
