Each child has a different learning ability. The best way I feel for success of a child would be a one to one or small group teaching style. This will provide the teacher to student kind of relationship where the teacher may know the level of each student. I try to repeat fundamentals so that students may have a solid foundation to build upon. I believe without a solid foundation a student might struggle harder in advance courses of study.

Conversational. From what I learned in Taiwan little kids are not for me. This is the truth. Kids at about 14 or 15 and older are much preferred. I don't think I am animated enough for younger children...well, not a GROUP of younger children anyway. When it comes to one on one though, it is much different I am sure. I like to give ideas on how to sound out words, remember grammar/math tricks and things like that.
I double majored in Biology and English with a Bachelor of Science degree from a very well known, highly esteemed University in Wisconsin. I went to Taiwan for two months from March-May 2010 and helped teach in a "Bushiban" or cram school to kids aged 6-15. I am currently looking for a full-time job relating to my degree.

If a student understands how a certain statistical problem looks like in a small example, he or she will be able to describe the problem and the solution in an abstract formulation as well. I put a lot of effort in finding easy examples and then proceed in as little steps as necessary to the more abstract formulation.
