I love to learn and to teach others. I have had many teachers (in 2 different countries) and I have noticed that there are many that are VERY good at their subject, but they cannot teach it well to their students which I think should be as important. As of May 22, 2009 I became a graduate of California State University, Northridge with a BA degree in Chemistry. As an undergraduate student I performed atmospheric research with Dr. Daniel Curtis along with my duties as a full-time student. I tutoring when in high school. I continued to tutor while I was getting my undergrad. I tutored college students from my college and those surrounding me. I have taught at an adult school for a summer while I was getting me credential. I double majored in Biology and English with a Bachelor of Science degree from a very well known, highly esteemed University in Wisconsin. I went to Taiwan for two months from March-May 2010 and helped teach in a "Bushiban" or cram school to kids aged 6-15. I am currently looking for a full-time job relating to my degree.
Conversational. From what I learned in Taiwan little kids are not for me. This is the truth. Kids at about 14 or 15 and older are much preferred. I don't think I am animated enough for younger children...well, not a GROUP of younger children anyway. When it comes to one on one though, it is much different I am sure. I like to give ideas on how to sound out words, remember grammar/math tricks and things like that.
