As a student at New College of Florida I studied Literature and Sociology before writing an undergraduate thesis on Outdoor Education. During research for my thesis I studied many educational theories and used them for a camping-education program proposal based on Florida educational standards. After graduating, I spent a year in South Carolina teaching outdoor education to elementary school students. Although there are many ways to teach, I strongly believe in Experiential Education.
