Experience Summary
Pre-K, K - 6, Middle School and High School are the grade levels I've taught. I have also been trained to coach teachers with learning strategies to make them more successful in the classroom. Parent education has always been a part of my role as a teacher.
Teaching Style
Active learning is the foundation of my teaching style at all levels. We learn more by experiencing the process first hand rather than being told. When learners enjoy themselves they're more likely to retain the learning.
"Tell me" and "show me" are the styles teachers often use. I've found more success with "involve me." That leads to understanding.
Brain research is also a foundation for my teaching style at all levels.
