From then on, I helped and even eventually taught my younger siblings when the current school system left them in the dust, and even helped them get a leg up and advance faster than their classmates. I've tutored a few younger kids in various subjects in my high school years, as well as occasionally teaching Taekwondo classes.

A Little Bit About Me...

I use all modalities when I teach. I enjoy learning about my students likes and dislikes in order to make teaching appealing to them.

My comments on tutoring Elementary Reading : Having taught kindergarten in the public schools for many years, I am able to effectively provide prereading and beginning reading instruction.

I believe a classroom for young children should provide a warm, accepting, and challenging environment.
I taught kindergarten in public school for twenty years. I am currently teaching in a private school setting. I teach a voluntary preschool class (VPK). Education is essential for the mind to grow.

I have helped people with their English-speaking skills off and on and am very skilled in spelling and grammar. I've been learning Japanese for going on three years, as well. I'm aware that it's not a particularly high in-demand language to learn, but I am more than willing to aid in learning it if it is desired. Also, having graduated high school, I have enough knowledge to teach kids about the basics of science, math, and English.
On the whole, I look for a rather creative approach when it comes to learning and studying. I ask that students be skeptical in all they hear and read, so asking questions as a form of studying will be essential. Just reading a book or looking at flash cards for studying purposes can prove to be tedious and ineffective. And putting what's learned in context is always necessary if the subject calls for any everyday application.
