I am a Native Chinese-Mandarin speaker and has several experiences in language tutoring.I used to work at the San Diego Chinese Academy on Sundays, and I taught preschool Chinese children aging from 3 to 8. I want to make sure the student understands fully so I would also be asking the student questions just to ensure he or she knows the material well. For English, I would focus on practicing and discussion. Since it is a langauge, I focus more on practicality. I would also talk to the student and discuss whatever he is having trouble with so that I can give him or her tips to improve.
