Experience Summary
I have been in education for 16 years. I specialize in working with students with ADD/ADHD, specific learning disabilities as well as students who underachieve. I have a Master's Degree in Special Education and have successfully worked with students all over the Bay Area to help them realize their full potential.
Teaching Style
Not all students are successful and the trick is to identify the reasons behind the lack of success. The issues that students have with school are diverse; procrastination, lack of organization, failure to plan, lack of awareness, ineffective habits, learning disabilities, and differences are all possible explanations for school failure. I work with students one on one to help them pinpoint where things break down for them and then work with them to find strategies to help them manage the skills and material they are asked to learn and master. I am there to guide, not just instruct.
My Hobbies
I love to run, be outside at the beach, take day trips all over the Bay Area and investigate neighborhoods in San Francisco. I play softball and I love to cook Italian food. I read everyday and write in my blog or journal.
