My comments on tutoring Speaking : I have been a member of a Toastmaster group for over 5 years, where I have mastered and polished many speeches both prepared and spur of the moment topics.

My teaching style needs to respond to the needs of the individual. There are several styles of learning so I need to understand the individual to best know how to teach them the skills they need to pass the course.
I have worked in several different types of industries from hotels, restaurants, travel, mortgage companies, transportation, banks, theater, real estate and other primarily service businesses. Most of my interests lie in the financial and accounting parts of these businesses because of the importance of not only being able to present an accurate picture of the company's condition at only one time, but also to make sure that there were no mistakes, thefts being covered up, or other discrepancies. Very large companies have had loans go bad due to the improper accounting of transactions by the business owners.

My teaching style is Socratic in method. I have learned a large variety of techniques to help teach some of the most basic to the most advanced concepts to a large audience of students. I like to mold my teaching style to fit with each individual student. As a teacher of special-needs and emotionally handicapped children, I have learned techniques that make me a formidable teacher in any environment, so long as I am familiar with the material. I graduated with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. During my college experience at the University of Arizona, I have participated in two programs that allowed me to teach a wide variety of students of different backgrounds and different ages.
