As a graduate of Bowling Green State University's Master of Education program, I have always had a passion for working with students in both a school and counseling setting. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology, which enabled me gain employment as a Crisis Hotline Phone Attendant and a Behavioral Specialist in a Children's Home for troubled and at risk youth. In addition to completing the Masters program, I also earned my school counseling license. I have worked with high school students reading at a third grade level as well as those who could succeed at an Ivy League school--and have appreciated all of them. I especially enjoy the challenge of motivating the under-achiever or capturing the interest of the student who is frustrated in a typical classroom. I also love seeing how a student who is "left-behind" or "unnoticed" in a large class can blossom and achieve so much with one-to-one instruction and that's one of the main reasons I like tutoring.
