I believe in the program of teaching across the curriculum. As a teacher to be, I believe that students are much more willing to participate in writing goood papers when it is in a subject that has meaning for them. If this is not possile, I take an approach to the topic in order to make it more interesting, especially when there are such good internet resources today. The use of songs to highlight certain grammatical or thematic elements I have found to be very effective. Interactive media to keep the students engaged as well as aware that what they are learning is relevant is a must. I am a firm believer that anyone can learn a language as long as it is taught properly and effectively.
