Italian is one of my top subjects! Typical lessons include translated dialogues, grammar, practice exercises, vocabulary, country and culture tips and of course, quizzes! Sometimes I like to invent activities to add more fun. We will eventually try to be as conversational in Italian as possible so you can get comfortable speaking to natives. If you have an iPhone or any other recording device, I can record proper pronunciations of words.

I am a native New Yorker and graduate of the Manhattan School of Music. When I am not performing or teaching piano, I am able to tutor in Italian since my parents are from Calabria, along with learning Italian throughout my educational/musical career. I am a fluent speaker and have been giving lessons for 6 years. Lessons include an Italian cooking class, Italian customs & culture tips along with going out and speaking with other natives and much more!!

Once while subbing, I entered a classroom where the students had been allowed to watch Jerry Springer on TV for the last two weeks. I couldn't let this continue, but I saw how emotional the class was about the show. I encouraged them to write their own talk show and told them we would perform it the next day. I find that connecting student's interest with the subject matter to be learned is the best way to teach.
After completing my undergraduate degree in English Literature at Florida State University, I worked as a substitute teacher in Hillsborough County for two years. In 2009, I completed my Master's Degree in Communication at University of South Florida while simultaneously employed at the Department of Special Education.
