Elementary Math is one of my top subjects! I have been a teacher for 27 years and have a masters degree. I have taught grades 2-5. I currently provide remediation for grades 2-4 in the areas of math and reading.

My style is varied depending on the needs of the student, however, I mostly use tactile/kinesthetic styles with the use of visuals and manipulatives.
I taught third grade for 15 years in Galena Park ISD. I became a content mastery teacher for 2 years. I then taught art for 2 years. I received my masters in reading and became a reading specialst. I have been a reading specialist now for 8 years and I am currently employed by Schertz Cibolo University City ISD.

My comments on tutoring Elementary Math : I am a classroom certified teacher and also been tutoring in this area for over 5 years.

I firmly believe that you learn best when you're having fun. Once a topic fascinates you, your mind automatically engages more, which helps you remember better. So I work to draw students in by keeping things interesting, using fun examples, humor, and applying things to areas they will actually care about. I want to make you actually WANT to learn.
