Creative, Fun, Caring, and Intuitive to Others Needs

My teaching style varies depending on the student. Once I meet with the student and assess how he/she learns best, I tailor my teaching style to best meet his/her needs. Each student learns differently, and as a private tutor, I am able to meet his/her specific needs.
I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas and have taught a variety of elementary grades over the past six years. Prior to this, I was a tutor for elementary students for five years. Teaching is a passion of mine, as I strive to bring learning to life. I believe it is important for students to fully understand material and master the concepts as their elementary education is the foundation for their success in their future education.

My comments on tutoring Elementary Study Skills : I have been an elementary teacher for 27 years and have a masters degree. I have taught all subjects in grades 2-5. I currently provide remediation in STAAR and study skills.

My style is varied depending on the needs of the student, however, I mostly use tactile/kinesthetic styles with the use of visuals and manipulatives.
I taught third grade for 15 years in Galena Park ISD. I became a content mastery teacher for 2 years. I then taught art for 2 years. I received my masters in reading and became a reading specialst. I have been a reading specialist now for 8 years and I am currently employed by Schertz Cibolo University City ISD.
