Confidence creates an interest in learning

I adapt to the students abilities and preferences. The main issue facing all students is building confidence. Confidence creates interest in learning.

I have taught students ranging fro pre-school to 12th grade and also tutored at the unversity level. I feel most confident with students ranging from 3rd to 6th grade and at the college level or older. My main strengths are an ability to adapt to students with special needs and recognize that a lack of interest or focus is often the result of a lack of confidence. I will be honest with you. I have never tutored a child before at a professional standpoint. I will say I have always gotten along with children, and have an ability to help them learn, while making it fun as well. I am 24 years old, an only child, and no children of my own. But through the years all of my close friends were having children at a young age!! When my friends would visit the kids followed along! Simple things like reading a book with them. It is so exciting to know in your heart that your helping a child learn words! And communication and written words are so important in the walk of life!I develop a bond with every child I meet! :) My boyfriend has 4 wonderful children! A Little Bit About Me...

My experience in education has been wide and full of variety. I began working as a linguistics tutor for the university. I worked with several students over the course of the two years in which I worked for the department. I began my field work at Mt. Morris Junior High School performing my observations. I completed my student teaching at Lapeer West High School, before graduating with a BA in Secondary Education.
