My comments on tutoring Testing Strategies : I have a PhD in Educational Leadership, a master's in English, and have taught at a four-year university and a two-year college. I have also worked with HS students in college preparation skills.

I believe in working with students, not talking at them. I ask lots of questions and make sure students retain the information and can apply it to the real world.
I have experience teaching at a two-year university and a two-year college, in composition, communications, and public speaking. My teaching style is very hands on. I like to work the problems out with the students and show them how to do each step. I love questions and I love for the student to fully understand. I want the student to fully comprehend what they are doing. If not, they will never be able to do it without me there. Confidence is key and that can be achieved through repetition and a full understanding.
As a college student, I wanted to help other struggling students as well as polish my own skills. I decided that tutoring students would be a great job to earn money and achieve some personal goals.
