I am a graduate of both the University of Colorado and Adams State College. I hold a Master's degree in Secondary Education as well as a Initial Teacher's license. I have experience as a volunteer tutor in social studies and math, a paid tutor in reading, a student teacher, and as a substitute for the last year and a half. After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, I determined that I wanted to pursue a teaching career. I enrolled in the Master’s in Elementary Education program at the University of Phoenix. I enjoy working with kids and seeing the look of success in their eyes. Filling students with the "I can do it!" attitude is what I find the most joy in teaching. I pay close attention to what works the best for each student. If the student learns the best visually, then I write a lot down. I read aloud and explain for auditory learners, and so on. The most efficient way is to read, write, repeat, explain (by putting it in real life situations/experiential- that intrigues the individual's interest) for most students.
