While I was attending college I worked in child care with a variety of ages preparing lessons for enrichment. I also taught as an adjunct professor for adult ESL at Aims Community College. After finishing my degree, I taught for five years at Wiggins Elementary in 2nd and 6th grade. I was trained in FAST reading program as well as many others for teaching reading and math. For the past two years, I have been living in the country of Macedonia as a US Peace Corps volunteer. Teaching has become a big passion of mine, and I have taught people of all ages. Everyone learns in a different way--some visually, others verbally. I like to incorporate both into my teaching, by showing both you reinforce the topic and hit on both learn styles.
