Since graduating, I have now gained tremendous experience in TEFL as I went to China to be an ESL English teacher and private tutor for 6 months. I prefer a style that empowers the students to take ownership of their work so they will become better thinkers and writers. I prefer discussion-based learning opposed to "lecture-style" teaching where I can interact freely with the student as a peer-tutor.
