Experience Summary
I worked as a substitute teacher for a charter high school in St. Louis, MO directly out of undergrad. I taught most subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, History and Language Arts. I feel comfortable in my ability to teach most subjects and have no issue working in difficult classrooms as I have grown accustomed to such environments working in St. Louis.
Teaching Style
Being no stranger to difficult classroom settings, I understand that ideal teaching conditions rarely exist. I enjoy to challenge of encouraging more distracted students to learn, and possess the compassion and patience to work with most students. If a teacher can earn a student's respect, which comes easier for a younger instructor such as myself, then positive reinforcement has a much greater impact on that student's motivation to learn. My experience teaching lends the skill to gain student's trust in confidence allowing me to achieve great things with any student, all of whom deserve positive roles models and passionate teachers.
