I have taught and tutored both children and adults in a wide variety of situations, from job training and test preparation to tutoring for a specific subject. I have taught ESL classes and done individual tutoring, as well as both group and one-on-one instruction in grammar and composition. I have tutored for SAT, ACT, TOEFL, TOEIC, ISEE and entrance exams. I have created my own materials for such tutoring but also use books available commercially.

In pursuit of this goal, I have completed an MS in Physics, all the coursework necessary for a MS in Mathematics, an MA in Philosophy, and I am working to complete my PhD in philosophy. My philosophy of teaching is that a teacher should let students discover solutions in their own way. A teacher is someone who is there just to lead them in the right direction. It is rarely a good thing for a teacher to just provide an answer because often times this is of no help to the student.
