Since my days as a graduate student, I love to learn, as both student and teacher. As teacher, I've taught Humanities at the Junior College level, teaching Fine Arts, Music, English literature and Philosophy. I've taught students to make connections, relationships, between what they see and hear. Sight and Sound, then, allow them to develop their thinking in ways that isolated thought or thought patterns preclude. I've learned the Humanities are wonderful resources for thinking, as they for developing 'intuitive imagination.' I have had much experience in teaching specifically in the areas of social studies, English, German, reading comprehension, and k-6 math. I also hold a degree in anthropology with a minor in sociology and am, therefore, very proficient in these areas as well. Due to the immense amount of writing that I have done over the course of obtaining my degree, I am very skilled in this area as well.
I am very patient and love the look on a learner’s face when everything finally “clicks.” I understand that every person has his or her own unique learning style and this should always be taken into consideration.
