My comments on tutoring Logic : I have taken many logic classes as per my university degree requirements.

I am currently in the middle of completing a BS in Computer Science at Case Western Reserve University. I have taken all my math requirements up to Linear Algebra and excelled in each course, for both math and programming related courses. It is NEVER too late to learn, nor right to learn only 1 way

I summarized my basic experience in the Policy Statement. To expand on that, I have over 20 apps on an android tablet that are for clients who need early intervention in the areas of educational subjects, speech/breathing techniques, social and emotional recognition and assistive communication. I have a child safety filter infiltrated into the device so that the clients receive only what is appropriate to their learning. They cannot access the settings on the device, nor the regular web. I honor parents' input on what they think is appropriate for their child.
I utilize kinesthetic learning and encourage parental involvement within the tutoring sessions.

Math was never an issue for me, I was always ahead of the curve in my math scores, and when I got the chance to relate that math ability to economics, it all made sense. Economics is second-nature to me. Economics puts calculus into real-world situations. Breezed through it in high school and first couple years of college, realized it would be an excellent thing for me to major in. Economics is all about logic, and being a logical person, economics always came easy. When you think logically, you are thinking economically. A Little Bit About Me...

I took a class on abstract mathematics that followed Moore's teaching method, where the student would show their work in front of the class and instructor everyday for a part of the class. I would not be this strict because it is a little nerve wracking, but I do think some of it's principles are most instructive. This personal accountability along with the interaction I had with other students and the professor was the most I learned in any class. I prefer an interactive environment where I can get to know the students abilities more closely and try to customize it to where I can get the most out of a meeting with a student.

The teaching style I have is really a mix of all styles. I was exposed to teaching classes as an undergraduate student. One class really taught me the importance of building a teaching style with all of the learning styles involved. Whether it is visual, kinesthetic, audio, or reading, a good teacher will take the time to incorporate all of these into their style. I think this is so important especially when working with children because a child is at a very impressionable age with great imagination.
