Give my profile a read, maybe I have what you need!

Have mentored students in a relaxed manner as well as in a strict scheduled manner, can do both. For Math/Sciences I generally use example problems to help learn a core concept then use an application style problem to help the student solidify their understanding, rather than just memorize the process. Strong skills editing a students writing, both creative and technical. I enjoy coding and CAD and have developed a few methods that the student can use to help them debug issues. If we somehow come across something unknown to me, I have a library of reference material and will find the correct answer promptly (and on my own time, not on your dime)

It is NEVER too late to learn, nor right to learn only 1 way

I summarized my basic experience in the Policy Statement. To expand on that, I have over 20 apps on an android tablet that are for clients who need early intervention in the areas of educational subjects, speech/breathing techniques, social and emotional recognition and assistive communication. I have a child safety filter infiltrated into the device so that the clients receive only what is appropriate to their learning. They cannot access the settings on the device, nor the regular web. I honor parents' input on what they think is appropriate for their child.
I utilize kinesthetic learning and encourage parental involvement within the tutoring sessions.

My comments on tutoring Logic : I have taken many logic classes as per my university degree requirements.

I am currently in the middle of completing a BS in Computer Science at Case Western Reserve University. I have taken all my math requirements up to Linear Algebra and excelled in each course, for both math and programming related courses. I have experience tutoring math in High School, mostly while I was in high school, and have tutored my younger sibling and their friends, who are 5 years younger than me, continuously in math as we both grew up. So, I have experience tutoring elementary, middle, and high school children.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a tutor at Phoenix college for one semester. I tutored all math and physics courses. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to help others, but it has also strengthened because I allowed me to remember few simple things that I have seen in the past and have forgotten. It really changed me and my career path is now teaching.

Arabic native speaker I read and write Arabic. No degree on teaching or any certificate, but I have been done many teaching work either with my little sister and teaching her Arabic or other people who seeks to learn Arabic. So I call my self that I'm familier with how the teaching works, how much you need to have information to give it and pass it to them and how much patience you need to be. Beside all of that, I love helping people!

Math was never an issue for me, I was always ahead of the curve in my math scores, and when I got the chance to relate that math ability to economics, it all made sense. Economics is second-nature to me. Economics puts calculus into real-world situations. Breezed through it in high school and first couple years of college, realized it would be an excellent thing for me to major in. Economics is all about logic, and being a logical person, economics always came easy. When you think logically, you are thinking economically. In economic problems, you always assume the agents in the problem will act in their best interest.

I am a highly qualified/certified fourth-fifth grade teacher. I have a Masters in Elementary Education in grades K-8. I have six years of successful experience teaching students in these grades. During the 2009-2010 school year, my students' third and fourth grade AIMS scores contributed to the school reaching its goal as a "Performing" School, which is recognized by the "Arizona Learns" standards. During the 2006-2007 school year, my elementary students' AIMS scores contributed the 38 percent of the increase needed for the school to reach its goal of making "Adequate Yearly Progress". As a teacher, I was publicly recognized in the spring of 2007 by the School District's Governing Board for that accomplishment.
I absolutely love teaching children of all ages. Every student is capable of success and I do not take the responsibility of reaching a child's absolute maximum ligh ... read more

I am a meteorologist and have worked in many sectors including Radio, TV and Aviation. I currently run an online retail business using the eBay platform. I also have substitute teaching experience on the Middle and High School levels. Through the 1990's I consistently was called each week to sub at various schools in the Hartford, CT area. I have tutored privately on occasion since graduating college. My math background consists of levels through calculus, any earth science and physics. I can also can be of assistance to computer related courses depending on the topic.
I like teaching one-on-one but I do have classroom experience from substitute teaching. I teach by example and encourage the student to ask as many questions as possible. I typically will not go to another topic until the current one is understood. In terms of teaching math, my style incorporates less use of a calcul ... read more

I have 36 years experience as a practicing actuary, including 21 years in consulting. As a consultant, I developed the ability to explain mathematical concepts to people who are not math-savvy. For the last six years, i have been teaching high school math full-time, while maintaining a part-time actuarial practice. I have enjoyed my time teaching and I have been a successful teacher. I have worked with students who had not received strong math instruction for many years, if ever, and have brought them up to a level where they could succeed.
I enjoy seeing students develop an understanding of mathematical concepts and methods. I try to avoid lecturing, but have students come up with the methods of solving problems by themselves (with occasional hints or pointing in the right direction by me). I also emphasize problem solving and developing problem solving skills. One of my men ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

Because of my strong interest in education, I am changing my career field from computer programming to teaching or tutoring. I obtained my second master's degree in Secondary Education two months ago (December 2008), along with teacher certification in Mathematics and Physics. My student teaching experience was at Paradise Valley High School, where I assumed full responsibility for two math classes. While working on my MEd and before this my BS in Physics (May 2007), I tutored math, physics, and astronomy for two years (both high school and college students). I also have BA and MA degrees in Mathematics. While working on these degrees, I taught college math and computer classes part-time for four years, and tutored math for one year. I was named TRiO Tutor of the Year at ASU West in 2008.
I love both teaching and tutoring. It is a joy to me to be able to help students learn. ... read more

My experience consists of tutoring college students in the subject areas I learned for a Bachelors degree in Health Science. This consists of: General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Physiology, Anatomy, and Biology. I also have experience teaching children soccer. I played collegiate soccer and I was involved in many soccer camps teaching children the basic skills of soccer as well as communication and self-esteem. I now have been accepted to teach adults at the Church I go to. This is on Thursdays and my title is volunteer teacher.
The teaching style I have is really a mix of all styles. I was exposed to teaching classes as an undergraduate student. One class really taught me the importance of building a teaching style with all of the learning styles involved. Whether it is visual, kinesthetic, audio, or reading, a good teacher will take the time to incorporate all ... read more

As a recent graduate from Arizona State University, I feel I have become a more well-rounded person. I have earned a BS in biology and am qualified to apply to Medical School. I took a Kaplan course in which I gaineed so much knowledge of how science and math were taught and how to take the MCAT successfully. I have taken many honors classes at Arizona State University including, Physics, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry (all which included labs). In these labs, lab reports were required and proper procedures were carried out. I feel like I would have a lot to offer students in the science arena.
I really enjoy teaching because I believe it enhances both the teachers' and students' lives. If the teacher is enthusiastic about learning, the student can also be excited about learning. My biggest strength in teaching is engaging the student in the topic and creating good "real life" ... read more
