A Little Bit About Me...

After completing my double degree in Spanish and Italian, at the University of Georgia, I then went on to working with foreign tourists in Naples, Italy in order to master my language skills. Upon returning to the United States, I began working with a major European tour operator. There, my language skills helped me tremendously while communicating with our European offices and tour managers. I have also just recently returned from Barcelona, Spain where I worked as an English tutor to children and adults. Working with young adults to increase their understanding of a foreign language has always been my passion. I have found a new level of commitment and compassion through this type of work experience. As a university student I began what would be a lifelong journey into tutoring and teaching. I began tutoring college level Spanish during my freshman year in college. While at Emory my diverse interests led me to study in many areas. I have a deep level of understanding and enthusiasm for math and science that I would love to share. My formal tutoring experience includes spending a spring break helping inner-city middle school students at a small private school in Philadelphia and tutoring a young friend of the family in pre-algebra for part of a summer. My informal tutoring experience comes from helping my pre-med friends understand their physics and math homework over the last four years.
I truly enjoy the challenge of helping others learn, and I get along well with children and adults of all ages.
