My tutoring style is calm, patient, and encouraging. I have high expectations for my tutoring students. I also strive to discover how a student learns, whether it be seeing it, hearing it, feeling it, or a combination of the three. I am a proponent of hands-on learning, and believe that a tutor’s role is to be a facilitator of a student’s curiosity and achievements. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that teaching is most effective when you give students a chance to show you what they already know. Half of teaching is simply encouraging children to be interested in their own progress and to persevere through the adversity that always follows real learning. I gage the progress of my students by asking them a lot of questions, and I give positive reinforcement whenever possible. I want to be a positive role model for every child I come across, and to participate in the process of discovery with them in a personal way.
