A Little Bit About Me...

Education has been a strong theme in my life and I know every kid deserves to have the same opportunity that I have had in my life. Even though I don't have any professional teach training, I compelled to help those that I can, using what I have learned. Everyone has a different learning style, so I believe in being patient and finding a unique way to teach each child according to his style. I have a BS in journalism, and a specialization in advertising/integrated marketing communications. I also have minors in English and psychology. As a result of studying both journalism and English, I have an extensive background in writing. I have tutored ESL students to learn to read and write in English.
My teaching style involves demonstrating how to understand a problem or perform a task before I ask the student to do so. By facilitating students in such a way, I believe they have a more one-on-one learning experience, as opposed to a strict lecture setting. With guidance and demonstration, I believe it is easier for students to learn without pressure.
