One of the most favorable things that I love to do is helping children to gain more understanding in their academics. I have worked with different children in the past, and I have helped so many of them to understand that they can be the best in whatever they set out to do. Based on my degree which is BS in Finance and MS in Management Information Systems I have been able to touch so many learning experiences from this. I obtained my associate’s degree at Prairie State College in 1997. I received the honor of Valedictorian by my high educational standards of earning a 4.0 GPA. My main focus was to learn as much as possible in the sciences, such as biology, anatomy, chemistry, and microbiology. During my last full-time semester at Prairie State, I started a full-time curriculum at Worsham College of Mortuary Science. Worsham has a two year schedule condensed into one year. I earned a 96.32% GPA diploma and moved on to receive my Illinois Professional Funeral Director and Embalming License in 1998. While at Prairie State College, I volunteered at grammar schools to tutor grade school children with reading, and later taught the apprentices at work.

I have a BS in journalism, and a specialization in advertising/integrated marketing communications. I also have minors in English and psychology. As a result of studying both journalism and English, I have an extensive background in writing. I have tutored ESL students to learn to read and write in English.
My teaching style involves demonstrating how to understand a problem or perform a task before I ask the student to do so. By facilitating students in such a way, I believe they have a more one-on-one learning experience, as opposed to a strict lecture setting. With guidance and demonstration, I believe it is easier for students to learn without pressure.
