Physics is one of my top subjects! I earned my M.S. in Physics from Depaul University in 2012 and have been a full time instructor of physics, engineering and astronomy at Moraine Valley Community College ever since. While at Depaul I worked as a private tutor and had many satisfied students who saw a great increase in their grades. I am currently working on my M.S. in Science Education.

I earned my B.S. in physics from Loyola University in 2010 and my M.S. in physics from Depaul University in 2012. Generally, I'm a constructivist, and I believe the best method of tutoring is providing a completely individuated scaffold for any student. In my experience I have discovered that it is better for the student, whether he or she is at elementary or university level, to come up to his or her own conclusions and answers. My style of teaching does not involve doing the work for the student, rather I like to say that I provide the necessary information and aid to point the student in the right direction. This in some cases can take a lot of time and patience, but in the end one learns better when he or she does things himself instead of someone doing it for him. I love to see people grasping the simplest approach. I begin with an overview of what, exactly, is the goal and why we are doing it. I feel step by step methods, with easy to remember techniques, are best to achieving the final result. "Hands on" is definitely the approach, once the goal and methods have been established.
