With over 20 years experience as an educator I have taught, tutored, and trained students from pre-school to adults. I hold an MA in Education and Counseling, a BA in Socialpsychology and an AA in Early Childhood Education. and two teaching credentials - k-8 and adult. I am a credentialed teacher and for the past three years I have taught grades k-12. My academic strengths are English - reading, writing, and literature, Spanish, elementary/junior high math, science, and social studies.

I believe in helping the students discover their own answers. Through patient discussion and problem solving the students will better understand the subject matter. It is important to take the time and listen to their problems so as to best understand how to achieve a solution. I love to teach and enjoy teaching English as well. I am very good at grammar and all areas of the English language. In my work as a writer, I make extensive use of this. I try to be very patient, and I have worked a great deal with special needs students.
