I am interested in working again as a Mathematics Tutor, I've had a very enriching previous experience from former employers at Colorado State University-Pueblo, where I've obtained two degrees, a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S.B.A. in Economics. I love education and working along with others. I'm very passionate in continually cultivating myself and growing, in fact, my last employer hired me to teach English in Taiwan! It was wonderful experience.
My teaching style starts usually with a question to spark and interest, or perhaps another question. I idenify with the audience and that is extremely helpful. I am patient and enjoy when a student finds confidence by learning something new. I use some props and examples to aid a particular subject, and I speak English very well so there is no miscommunication.

Teaching is a dream job since you get to directly see the results of your work. You can watch your students improve in front of your eyes and this is a result of your motivational skills. The students do the work but you are the one who reaches their inner core to pull out their ability to achieve. For each student you must find what motivates them and press those buttons. My role is to get students to believe in themselves and then to guide them through the process of education. Positive reinforcement is the key to their success. At the outset of the personal computer revolution I sold and supported Tandy computers. As part of the support function I instructed clients in the use of their computers. A whole new world blossomed for me. Teaching clients to use their computers turned out to be a long term and very rewarding experience. During my thirteen years as The Computer Tutor I encountered a multitude of student learning difficulties. By working with the individual students, creative solutions were structured and successfully executed. Tutoring the non-traditional students to achieve their goals was by far the greatest reward. My introduction to teaching occurred when I was selected by two university departments to be a Graduate Assistant. Among my many duties were the presentation of classes and the grading of papers. As an officer in the United States Army I have been responsible for training and teaching at many levels. As a new lieutenant I directly supervised the training of a team of nine young soldiers. In my latest military position the documents that my organization created will affect the training of thousands of soldiers over several decades. A Little Bit About Me...

When working towards my teaching certification I was in many classrooms from Kindergarten to 12th Grade in Pueblo School District 60. After graduation I applied and got a teaching job and I taught at Skyview Middle School in District 49 for 4 years teaching Ancient Civilizations. Before that I was a substitute in District 8, 2, 3, 60, 48 all southern Colorado school districts.
I am a holistic teacher who likes for students to experience the subject. For example I would have student immerse themselves into the subject of history and complete a project and present it to the other students. It was really successful and had students waiting all year.
