Tutoring students is a big part of teaching. I have always tutored students in my classes and anyone who has asked for my help. A Little Bit About Me...

I prefer to teach by utilizing real-life situations that are pertinent to the subject matter. In my opinion, when you are able to bring the subject matter to life by making it relevant to the students you are teaching, there is a greater chance that the student will not only understand the information, but remember it long after they leave the classroom.
As a classroom aid, I was responsible for implementing the curriculum developed by the teacher. I also had the opportunity to work one-on-one with students who needed additional assistance. My son, as I stated earlier can be rebellious, so I have to be very patient with him and always stay positive. I constantly tell him how smart he is, how well he is doing, and I always point out his accomplishments and tell him where more work is needed. This style to me is important when working with any child, positive reinforcement and contant encouragement is needed.
I have a son who was born with neurofibromatosis is accompanied by a learning disability. My son is now 18 and in his last year of High School.
