I greatly enjoy teaching. Much of my style is entertaining and process oriented in nature. Story, metaphor and an understanding of the student having “the idea before the subject being taught” are vital. I began tutoring when I was in high school and enjoyed it immensely. When I got to college, I became a German teaching assistant. My favorite part was office hours. I love working with students individually. I earned a bachelor’s degree in German and Linguistics; I also took 16 credits each of biology and chemistry. My teaching style varies for each individual student. To see a struggling student smile when they finally grasp a concept is very rewarding. I make my students think and do the work.
