Experience Summary
I was trained and worked as a Master Tutor to pay my way through both my associate's and my bachelor's degrees' schooling, tutoring math subjects from algebra to biometrics and statistics, and English (academic) writing skills. I taught developmental math at a community college and math for elementary school teachers at a four-year teacher's college, both in New York State, for five years. I taught various psychology subjects at a vocational school and a community college, both associated with the University of Montana, for two years. I have a private practice as a life coach and, as such, am very experienced in helping my students perform to their greatest potential.
Teaching Style
I have made several practical--as well as scholarly--studies of learning styles that inform my teaching style. I am a facilitative teacher, one who listens attentively and watches closely to determine my students' learning style preferences and abilities in order to help my students build new skills upon those strengths already developed. My greatest joy is the look on my students' faces when they come to understand something that has resisted their comprehension before I began working with them.
