My comments on tutoring Physics : I have tutored several students in Physics. I am a certified teacher in both math and physics.

As an engineer and I have taught planners and engineers how to use software to do calculations. I have taught GRE preparation for Kaplan (analytical and verbal reasoning) both to small classes of 3 to 7 students and individual tutoring. A Little Bit About Me...

I like teaching all ages, they all have something to offer and require a different style. I am very patient and like to teach through the basics. I myself don't rely on memorizing formulas, that gets you no where, but understanding the fundamentals behind the formulas is where to gain knowledge. I feel it's very important to explain why things are the way they are as opposed to stating "that's that" and moving on since it's so important to understand the background. I have been teaching/tutoring since I was 15 years old. Throughout high school I taught Sunday school and tutored. For a year in college I tutored at a day care center. I also volunteered with children with the Reading Buddies and Dream Center, a center for at-risk children. I taught school in the Netherlands for three months and served a semester at Joan Walker Elementary teaching kindergarten and third grade.
