Experience Summary
As an engineer and I have taught planners and engineers how to use software to do calculations. I have taught GRE preparation for Kaplan (analytical and verbal reasoning) both to small classes of 3 to 7 students and individual tutoring. In 2009, I was accepted into the Educators of Change program by the Duval County School Board. I am now a certified teacher in Mathematics and Physics (grades 9-12). I have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a master’s in Public Administration. In addition, I have learned extensive grammatical skills through writing articles for publication and many professional reports.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching and working with children. While I believe that all children can learn, they do so in their own ways and at their own pace. It is the tutor’s responsibility to ensure that the student(s) understand the material. It is important to show students how one idea builds on the last. I will help your child learn the material in his/her own way. I consider myself to be patient, non-judgmental, and knowledgeable of the subject matter. I truly believe all children can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate surroundings and learning experiences. I am very proud of the kind letters of thanks that I have received from parents of some of my students this year.
