Math is one of my top subjects!

All throughout high school I tutored younger kids with homework or specific needs in classes. I'm very flexible and very hands-on with my teaching. As a visual learner, it helps me to have a visual aid whenever I can and I employ that in my teaching. My strategy is to make learning fun for the students. If I can't enjoy what I'm learning, then I won't learn it and as such I strive to make whatever I'm teaching enjoyable for the student.

My comments on tutoring Math : I can teach any grade on basic math.

I currently attend Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. I am twelve credit hours away from getting my Associate of Art Degree, and plan to transfer to a university to obtain my Bachelor's in Accouting. I am maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I believe learning should be fun and creative and that children should have an environment that is friendly and caring to learn in. I think teachers should be patient with their difficulties and take time to give them the one on one attention that they need. I like thematic units and hands on activities. Because I am a very patient and detail oriented person, I feel it is best to adapt my teaching style to the student's learning style. I would first make that evaluation to determine how best to approach teaching the student. I enjoy using hands-on examples and Powerpoint presentations in teaching. I feel that one-on-one interaction will always help a child gain knowledge of a subject.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Mississippi. I am dedicated and plan to further my education at the Master’s level. My undergraduate career consisted of many hours of numerous subjects such as Math (Algebra-Calculus II), Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Etc. Being a college graduate, I am also very skilled in the fundamentals of reading and writing.
