I have enjoyed teaching children since an early age. In high school, I started my own dance studio. I also began piano lessons in my home as well. My comments on tutoring Musical : I have been involved with music in some form my entire life. Can you discern music in the random noise of the streets or the rustling of leaves. I’ve recently graduated in from Albright College with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science. Despite my degree in the sciences, I attended a liberal arts college where I took a wide array of classes. Because I attended a liberal arts college I have many interests and a range of skills. I have trained students in a laboratory, restaurant and in the home. I graduated from college with honors and have succeeded in statistics, algebra 2, calculus 1, biology 1, chemistry 1, English literature, professional writing, civics, sketching/painting and classical guitar
It's imperative to listen and understand a students challenges. Reviewing their previous work and giving a current test is a good indicator of the situation. I believe in practice and examples as the clearest path to success. I don't hand deliver answers and I make the process towards answers engaging. I make sure the time and place are conducive to active and non-distractive learning. I relay the importance and relevance of the material. I graduated from high school as number eleven in rank out of 248. I often assisted other students in both high school and college. Later, as a homeschooling mother of four, I taught all of my children all subjects through the eighth grade level. I just returned from the island of Saipan, where I taught high school English in a private school, and seventh grade English in a public school.
